2009 Festivus Airing of Grievances

Frank Costanza: “And at the Festivus dinner, you gather your family around, and tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year!”

If you reading this consider yourself family and your dinner is served. The very large list is after the jump. And a huge thank you to everyone who contributed on such short notice! And don’t feel like you missed out. I’ll keep updating the post as I receive new ones, or just leave them in the comments. Continue Reading “2009 Festivus Airing of Grievances” »

Godriguez

I know what you are thinking. How can Rich Rod not be the worst at everything imaginable, ever, right? Are you sure he is actually good at something? We haven’t heard about one thing he is good at besides being the losing-est loser ever, LOL. We want Jim Harbaugh and his shitty education!

NSFMF?

Synecdoche, East Lansing

56042887
Hello, I hate you.

Everything is more complicated than you think. You only see a tenth of what is true.
You see a team that is 4-0 against a team that is 1-3.
You see a ranked team apparently on the verge of some great season.
You see a team that is disappointingly staring their entire season in the eye in only week 5.

Hungover Thoughts: Virginia Tech-Alabama

My goal was to avoid being on easy target for Brian’s schadenfreude, so here are some rational thoughts clouded by the back end of about 20 beers.

  • The game was a whole bunch of emotions: exciting, depressing, brutal, entertaining and predictable.
  • It was awesome to meet F4H, Winfield and Dane and tailgate with them. They look like good guys to have on your side in a fight.
  • It was more of the same from the offense.
  • The defense played amazing, but was gassed and folded late in the fourth.
  • Fuck.
  • Some of Stinespring’s calls were horrendous. Once again 2009 will feature the option out of double and single back shotgun sets and much like the last 5 years our lunch was/will be eaten. We lost a fumble on a option in the red zone. STOP WITH THE OPTIONS.
  • Ryan Williams looks like he will be a stud.
  • Our offensive line cannot pass block nor establish a new line of scrimmage when running the ball. They are soft. Read this and get motivated. Please.
  • What happened to Greg Boone and David Wilson?
  • More mistakes on special teams, ugh.
  • 99% of Alabama fans are class acts. But one old timer asked me as I was walking out, “What’s a Hokie?” As I began to answer he quickly interjected and said “a damn loser!” Enjoy death old man.

Longest. Off Season. Ever.

Go Blue

I remember being a little kid watching the 1991 Rose Bowl in the basement with my dad. I can remember the summer sausage slices with the Club crackers that we never got to eat unless it was a special occasion. The walls were green paisley wallpaper and the carpet was orange and brown shag. Even though I didn’t know what was going on I can recall being very nervous as if the fate of the world relied on this single game. Continue Reading “Longest. Off Season. Ever.” »
