CollegeGameBalls: College Football at its Finest

I created this blog originally to post my games balls.  What are the game balls?

1. Notre Dame was shittacular.  That is all anyone can say.  Every phase of the game and every player on the team played awful.  The defense made Chad Henne look like Matt Leinhart.  Quinn threw 3 interceptions and was under siege all afternoon because of his porous offensive line.  Darius Walker only rushed for 25 yards on 10 carries.  Plain and simple Michigan took the Irish behind the woodshed and beat them silly
2. I don’t know what the Hurricanes were thinking before the game jumping the Louisville Cardinal.  You aren’t bad ass anymore and certainly not elite.  You aren’t Michael Irvin, Clinton Portis, Ken Dorsey, Ed Reed or Jeremy Shockey.  You are an above average team with talent being misused by a below average head coach.  After watching Louisville dominate through the air with 294 yards and 2 touchdowns (100 or so by backup Hunter Cantwell) and another 95 on the ground you have to wonder if the FSU Miami game was a defensive classic or display of offensive ineptitude.
3. Florida State continued to struggle on offense notching only 204 yards and 12 points against a Clemson defense hurting from injury.  I can already hear the head of Jeff Bowden being called for in Tallahassee.
4. Remembered are the days where the Texas Tech offense meant 600 yards and 7 touchdowns.  TCU held the Red Raiders to one field goal.  It was the first time Texas Tech did not score a touchdown in a game since Nebraska in 2000 and only the second time in 79 games over Mike Leach’s tenure.
5. Virginia is now 1-2 and would be 0-3 if they didn’t edge Wyoming 13-12.  They lost to a directional Michigan team and one could guess that at the time the game was scheduled it was meant to be a cupcake warm-up before the ACC schedule.  However, UVA lost because they suck.

Basically a knock on the weeks worst college football teams.  They started out as something I did in my aim profile during college.  AIM sucks and the limitted 255 characters of profile space irked me to the point where I bought this domain.  During the college football season this blog will be 90% dedicated to the discussion of its games, coaches and controversies.  During the off-season I figured we can shoot the shit on whatever.
