The Mirror Lake Jump: past, present and future.

Mark Mangino, the man Brent Musburger called The Big Teddy Bear, is a fat and a volatile dickhead. Jason Whitlock thinks Mangino being obese is at the heart of his problems and rage. So much for the jolly fat man stereotype. I disagree, but whatever the cause, incidents like this (via edsbs.com) have overshadowed the turnaround and miracle working he’s done on the field at Kansas.

I told him this wasn’t relevant to this ticket and he said “This job gives you power, doesn’t it? You feel real fucking powerful walking around like a big shot…He got back in his car eventually, “You just don’t like talking to me because I’m ethnic, just because I talk with my hands.” He then went on to tell me how important he was to this university and how he doesn’t have time to spend dealing with this crap.

Rock Chalk Talk has a running list of what’s actually gone down and what’s suspected to have gone down.

Stand By Your Man. Ann Bowden shot her mouth off again disclosing the Bowden Tribe’s battle plans if Chief Bobby isn’t welcomed back in 2010.

If FSU doesn’t give it to him, she says, “You know, we don’t need the university as much as they need us — as much as they need him and his connections and reputation and everything. If they want to pull that trick, we’ll just shake the dirt off our feet and go to Europe or go on a long cruise or something.”

Unanimously now, ‘Noles fans, “Bon voyage!”

Full Circle. Tyrod Taylor and Russell Wilson are set to throw down this weekend, even though they’ll never be on the field at the same time it’s all about them. Both quarterbacks are Virginia high school legends and this could be the first and last time they joust in college.

Mike Leach to Louisville? The Krag1N1 vaccination is on the way and there’s a rumor the Pirate Captain could be sailing north.

Is Louisville a better job than Texas Tech? I would think that recruiting in Texas has its advantages over recruiting in, uhhh…. what state is Louisville in again? Exactly.

mangino is a RAGIN’ RHINO!!!1! He looks like he could use a hug… from a man with a very large wingspan. I am thinking KG or Tayshaun Prince.

I think it is a tossup, but for Leach Louisville might be a better job. Texas Tech doesn’t exactly draw the best, second best or even third best talent from Texas. So I think that’s a push. What might make that job more appealing is 1) every year instead of beating Texas he has to just beat… Kentucky and 2) the Big East would have zero idea of how to handle his offense and even when they figure out the scheme they won’t have the athletes to stop it.

no, but it’s easier to win and go to a bcs bowl game coaching at loooeyville than tejas tech. plus … who pays you more is nice.
