| Rank | Team | Delta | Intellectuals* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Alabama | The last time they trailed an opponent–10:29 2nd Quarter against FIU | |
| 2 | Florida | I’ll ask the same question as the Gators I follow on Twitter, where are the receivers? | |
| 3 | Texas | Another ho-hum performance | |
| 4 | Virginia Tech | 2 |
The Hokes are getting offensive. |
| 5 | Southern Cal | Once they beat Notre Dame, media will anoint them #1 seed in losers bracket. | |
| 6 | Cincinnati | 1 |
They’ve got a big test on Thursday night against South Florida in Tampa. |
| 7 | Miami (Florida) | 1 |
Damien Berry is 1-0. |
| 8 | Ohio State | 1 |
I was expecting more out of Pryor. |
| 9 | Boise State | 1 |
Looking forward to watching them play Tulsa on Wednesday night. |
| 10 | Iowa | 3 |
I’m still not sold, but they beat a good Michigan team and stopped them from doing what they do best, coming back. |
| 11 | TCU | ||
| 12 | Oregon | They won at UCLA without Masoli. | |
| 13 | LSU | 9 |
The Gators have a tremendous defense, but LSU has talent and should have been able to move the ball more. |
| 14 | South Florida | See above | |
| 15 | Kansas | 1 |
Not even a whiff of a quality win |
| 16 | Nebraska | Potential for greatness is there, but the Huskers need to be more consistent and execute for 60 minutes. | |
| 17 | Houston | 2 |
Houston lost to UTEP because of… familiarity? |
| 18 | South Carolina | 1 |
|
| 19 | Brigham Young | 1 |
|
| 20 | Oklahoma | The best two loss team in the country. | |
| 21 | Georgia Tech | 3 |
Offense impressive, defense abomination |
| 22 | Oklahoma State | ||
| 23 | Penn State | 2 |
PSU blows out another bad team. SURPRISE! |
| 24 | Auburn | 3 |

RE: UF’s WRs. Harvin is in the NFL. Carl Moore and Andre Debose out with injuries.
And know what’s more impressive than the last time ‘Bama trailed a game? The last time UF trailed a game: 4th quarter of the SEC championship against ‘Bama.
/had to try and make a case for my team.

“The last time they (Bama) trailed an opponent – 10:29 2nd Quarter against FIU” (Sept 12, 2009)
the last time the Gators trailed an opponent – 4th quarter against Alabama – Dec. 6th, 2008. aka, never once this year.
Don’t make your reasoning for them to be no.1 able to be trumped by the no. 2 team using the same reasoning. makes no sense.

Just saw Tomas’ reponse, didn’t mean to copy.

It’s all good. Glad I’m not the only one to point out that stat.

@sean and @Thomas – That isn’t my reasoning for them being the number one team. Over the weeks I’ve just ran out of superlatives for them and found it to be an interesting factoid. As for reasonings, I believe Alabama is a more complete team that has beat better opponents than Florida. Hopefully we’ll see who’s better on the field in the SEC Championship Game.

I know the factoid wasn’t the reasoning, I just wanted to point out the UF fact. Alabama has been the most impressive team so far this season, and I can’t argue with that.

tomas, UF’s schedule is crap. they opened with Charleston southern and in week two went up against Troy. A FCS program and a team from the Sun Belt. No wonder they havent trailed them. Sure Bama trailed FIU, and they are bad, but they definately arent as bad as CSU and Troy
