And now it’s official. CGB friend and fellow Hokie blogger F4H told me about this about two months ago and without naming teams went public with it almost three weeks ago. I don’t know how he managed to keep it under his hat that long. He could have lived the dream by beating, actually running laps around, main-stream-media to a story. I’m finally glad I can talk about it.

Over the years I’ve doled out my fair share of criticism at AD Jim Weaver. Almost all of the changes Hokies Respect forced down our throats rubbed me and a lot of others rocking the maroon and orange the wrong way. Most notably the man pulled the plug on the stick it in cheer. I want my DRUNKEN PELVIC THRUSTS back, yesterday!

Nevertheless, as much as I dislike his policy I respect that he continues to negotiate and schedule us high profile non-conference games: Nebraska, Alabama and LSU to name a few. Win or lose these games keep us relevant. More importantly they give us the street cred to overcome the media’s perception that the ACC is weak-sauce. If the perfect storm ever forms in Blacksburg we’ll have strength of schedule on our side.

As far as the game goes I’m actually a little bit shocked that it’s going to go down. The last time Boise State played outside their comfort zone (midwest and west coast cupcakes) was 2004 and they got donkey punched by Georgia 48-13. Let’s toast to a Hokie victory.
