    1. Idaho, Stanford, and Washington State are winnable for the Huskies.
    2. It doesn’t matter who the USC QB is. 10 wins guaranteed.
    3. No, USC will lose to GT in BCS title game. No brainer.
    4. I think UCLA will pound the Vols.
    5. No. That train left with Dennis Dixon.
    6. Wins at SJSU, Washington St., Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, and even Notre Dame seem possible. The rest look tough for the Cardinal.
    7. I don’t know anything about Maryland. No one ever does.
    8. Jake Locker = Drew Tate = Matt Grothe = Tyler Palko = etc. etc. Guys with big names and lots of preseason hype. But they just never really do anything. One hit wonders, if you will.
    9. Yes. The State of Washington will suck even worse.
    10. Pac 10 and defense should not be in the same sentence.
    11. I think this is possible.
    12. We’ll see. Last team to do this, I think, was Minnesota a few years ago.
    13. Not sure. Inexperienced quarterbacks at USC usually mean a couple losses.
    14. Traps would be @ Oregon, @ Cal, and maybe @ OSU.
    15. No.
    16. Neu-weisel will never be a winner ever again.
    17. No, 59.
    18. I think Oregon is still gonna be damn good. They remind of the Wisconsin of the Pac 10, silently accumulating 10 win seasons with a great fan base. But severely overshadowed by the traditional California powerhouses (or OSU/UM in Wiskie’s case).
    19. Jahvid Best is damn good.
    20. The Pac 10 never really gets disrespect besides its lack of defense and ridiculously sick annual NFL draft exposure. I’d say the Big 10 and ACC catch more unfair amounts of disrespect.

What does it say about a conference when an objective outsider compiles the top-twenty questions concerning its member-schools’ upcoming season, and included are:

    - whether a team in that conference will achieve a single victory during the year; and
    - whether that same team will be able to prevent another conference’s team from scoring 60 pts?

It’s probably not fair to knock the Pac-10 based solely upon one, horrible member (Washington)… just as it is not fair to praise it based solely on one, loaded member (USC). But it just caught my eye. Hopefully never will a team in the SEC or ACC be so bad that we’re wondering before the season if that team can win a single game.

Are the Huskies really so bad that their matchup with Idaho is in doubt? Idaho?????

I actually think the Pac-10 is a very good conference. As we all know its known for offense, which is a negative for them but somehow a selling point of the Big 12. As of late they’ve represented well in bowls and have USC. But man does Washington stick out like a sore thumb. They came close to beating BYU and Wazzu last year so I have to think with a healthy Jake Locker and Sark calling the plays they will get at least one win.
