Paulus will attend graduate school at Syracuse, compete for the starting quarterback position and avoid being teabagged.
Is this a good thing?
Honestly, I have no idea. The main thing Syracuse fans should probably get out of this is that…it can’t hurt.
Exactly. Nine months from now Paulus Watch could turn out to be a big to do over nothing. Or it could be the catalyst for a great, bowl winning, season. Regardless of the outcome Paulus coming in for one year to isn’t going to negatively impact the Orange at all. In fact, he’s already raised their national profile without even taking a snap. Everyone is talking Syracuse football this morning.
Mr. College Football highlights the major questions facing each team in the ACC (Atlantic \ Coastal) and the SEC (East \ West). Enjoy with a glass of bourbon.
If you believe that experience across the offensive line positively correlates to wins then you will find these charts very handy. If you believe in quality, then you won’t give two shits.
The Pac 10 Network… Coming soon to an expensive cable package near you.
Outgoing commissioner Tom Hansen told the Orange County Register that the creation of a Pac-10 network is a top priority. The reason, of course, is money. The Pac-10, which reported gross receipts of $88.78 million for the 2007 fiscal year, is taking a financial backseat to other Bowl Championship Series conferences.
Broadcasting all of the Pac 10’s secondary (read crappy) sports and football and basketball games no one wants to watch on their own network can’t be a bad idea. Â If all the conferences create their own networks that pretty much spells the end for ESPN U.

It certainly can’t hurt Syracuse, especially in the Big East, which appears to be wide open next season. The only team getting close to any sort of Top 25 love is Pittsburgh.
Stranger things have happened … will we see. ACC basketball tournament champs + Big East football champs?
