It may have been against (Big Least Champion) Cincinnatti High School, but an Orange Bowl victory is an Orange Bowl victory. Go Hokies! Bring it home next year!

I thought it was going to be a long night after Cincinnati’s first drive, but once again Bud Foster quickly fixed any problems and shut them down for the night.

The defense holding Cincinnati scoreless 58:08 is the most telling stat of the game. They still suck, but the offense is starting to look better. Next year we really need to work on getting touchdowns and not field goal tries and 4th down misses in the red zone. Also, can we please eliminate QB draw… Give Tyrod the option to throw and let him make the decision to run when no one is open.

Yeah that goal line stand was crucial. Other than the QB draws, as mentioned by cgb, Stiney had a decent game as well (at least nothing we can straight up crucify him for).

Darren “DAT JUS MY BABY DADDY” Evans is a beast, plain and simple. The tandem of Evans and Williams next year should take even more burden off of TT (although he is rapidly showing he can handle it, as evidenced by this season) and allow for our offense to finally gel. Dare I say it, but I think we may have a top 50 offense next year.
