		<description>Yeah the extra practices are a benefit no doubt about it. But, its just seems like such a minimal reward to me. The players are already together all year practicing at some capacity. An extra 1-2 weeks at the end of the season doesn&#039;t seem like it will give a huge edge to any team.</description>

		<description>Here&#039;s why I don&#039;t like that idea. One of the big pluses of making a bowl game is the extra practice. Most teams use some of the practice time between the end of the regular season and the bowl as a precursor to spring practice. Younger players get reps, a look to the future, so on and so forth. I doubt our coaches do this because they don&#039;t even spend the practice time getting ready for the goddamn bowl, let alone the next season.

So by letting the teams that didn&#039;t qualify for a bowl play an extra game, you&#039;re giving them a reward they did not earn, a chance to get a jump start on the next season. And as a staunch hater of Michigan, Tennessee and france, I don&#039;t want to see that. Screw &#039;em. Even if it means I have to watch NW Missouri vs. MN Duluth, it&#039;s better than giving extra practice time to schools that didn&#039;t earn it.</description>
