Auburn Asks Students to not Boo Team

Auburn, Ala. — Auburn University would like its students to refrain from booing when no No. 6 LSU comes to town on Saturday.

The Dean of Students, Johnny Green, sent a mass e-mail urging students to diversify how they express their displeasure of the struggling Auburn offense.

“Instead of a single or group of boos why not try coordinating a ‘Fuck the Spread, [foot-stomp], [foot-stomp], [foot-stomp] (repeat)’ chant?  As fans we expect more from our student athletes. As Dean of Students I expect more out of you.  Booing is the 3-2 victory of fanaticism, its up to you to strive for the blowout.”

At the end of last season Auburn replaced offensive coordinator Al Borges with Tony Franklin. Head coach Tommy Tubberville was optimistic that the spread offense combined with his traditional stout defense would produce decisive wins.  Now the coach isn’t so sure.

“Well of course I didn’t think it would suck this much!”

LSU at Auburn kicks off at 7:45pm EST.
