After back to back out of conference losses the Bill Stewart era is off with a huge bang and only the couches are celebrating in Morgantown.
WTF was up with some of Stewart’s coaching decisions tonight…
Why would you have Pat White try to QB sneak it for a full yard on 4th down instead of using either his or Devine’s speed on the outside? Â Pat White is the most frail and least punishing quarterback in DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL. Â He bounced off the offensive line and sank to the ground.
Why would you not be taking timeouts on your final drive? Â You are moving the ball well, at midfield with about 35 seconds left and have a kicker with a leg (even though he choked on one from 23 yards). Â When is there a more opportune time to take a timeout? Â There isn’t, that is what they are there for, don’t stand there on the sideline dumbfounded when there are 5 seconds left.
This is it for West Virginia. Â They aren’t winning the Big East or making the BCS. Not giving Rich Rodriguez the extra money for assistant coaches and the resources he needed to continue to improve his facilites was the worst decision the WVU brain trust could have made. Â Their window has been shut. They are the New Fail.

man, that was….
They let Colorado get up way early, but played them well defensively the rest of the time. I agree that clock stuff at the end, I don’t know why Pat wasn’t just calling it. I know Bill Stewart is a new head coach, but really?
That was pretty rare for Pat McAfee to miss that field goal, that hurt them big.
Hopefully Tech fairs better against UNC….geez.
