That joke never gets old.  The Ball Coach has named Chris Smelley his starter for this Thursday’s game against Vanderbilt.  Spurrier made Smelley his number one man after Tommy Beecher couldn’t strap it up for Monday’s practice sucked ass against North Carolina State.  Last season Smelley was the second act of Spurrier’s epic quarterback trilogy.  He led South Carolina to an impressive home win over #8 Kentucky.  He was then benched 2 weeks later against Tennessee after throwing just 5 passes and a pick.  So far this season Smelley looks good and is 5/5 for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns.  However we all know his ass will be benched and this weeks poll is how long do you think it will take to happen?
