WVU Already Off to a 1-0 Start

Mountaineer fans will take solace knowing former head coach Rich Rodriguez will have to pay back 4 million dollars to the University.  Fans of the school will never see any of the reclaimed money, but will celebrate like checks are in the mail.

From The State Journal

Looks like a deal between former Mountaineer coach Rich Rodriguez and WVU over the $4 million dollar buyout payment is on the table.

W-V-U Attorney Tom Flaherty confirms to 13News they’ve reached a tentative settlement.

According to Flaherty the Board of Governors will review the settlement which is for the full $4 million dollars.

On a positive note the university could use the money to lock Bill Stewart into a long term contract right before he leaves for a better job.
