Ever since mgoblog broke the news about Lllloyd Carr resigning I have been an avid follower of the Wolverine coaching search. Even though I am anti Big Ten and really only pull for Michigan when they play Notre Dame or Ohio State I am starting to get pissed off at how stupid the coaching situation is. The pathetic thing is there shouldn’t even be a coaching search going on. Miles is the obvious choice. Make it fucking work.
Simple 2 Step Solution to Hire Les Miles
- Michigan offer Les Miles the job and make him one of the top 5 highest paid coaches.
- Les resign from LSU the day after you fudge-pack OSU in the National Championship Game (how about that for recruiting against and instilling fear into tSuckeyes).
Everyone is a winner. Well not LSU or OSU, but fuck them. Seriously though Miles brings two things to the table that none of the other candidates do. A track record for winning and passion for Michigan football. In the the end no matter who they hire Michigan will end up getting a great coach, because they are Michigan. I met my wife at Michigan. I had my first child there. I was raised as a coach there. Do you just turn around and tell those people leave me alone, before they even ask to speak to you?
It’s evident Miles loves Michigan. It holds a special place in his heart and because of that he would work his ass off for the Wolverines more than any other coach. Michigan and Miles stop making excuses for what you both want and get a deal done.
