Dixon was the MVP of college football there is no question (would the Gators fail to score a single solitary point without Tebow, no.) But Dixon missing the end of the season will likely (and should) cost him the Heisman.

I also think it is absurd to think that Florida won’t continue to use Tebow as a fullback when they need tough yards for first downs or touchdowns next year. The whole Florida offense will always run through Tebow.

The spread offense is no more a gimmicky system than the West Coast offense or an option offense, and how many guys have already won the Heisman running those offenses? He may fit the system perfectly, but it's not a gimmicky system designed to produce great stats but not actually beat anybody - it's a system that wins, and Tebow runs it perfectly. He's absolutely as deserving of the Heisman as every option back that ever won it - which is to say, a lot of them.
