On paper these games don’t look as exciting as last week’s.  However, I think we are in store for a great weekend of college football.  The best news of the week is that team Musburger aka team stick pony aka team Jack Kevorkian will be at Wisconsin.  Since I am no where near either Iowa or Whisky, I will be able to enjoy USC pounding Wazzu in peace.

Texas A&M 13 @ Miami 20
Michigan St 30 @ Notre Dame 10
South Carolina 20 @ LSU 33
Penn St 27 @ Michigan 20
Kentucky 28 @ Arkansas 34
Georgia 13 @ Alabama 21
Washington St 17 @ USC 41
Iowa 9 @ Wisconsin 24

What do you guys think?

Don’t think scUM will win. Look for aTm to win to the tune of 24-10

    Here goes.

Texas A&M may be ranked 20, but they havent done much to deserve it. They beat three teams not even worth mentioning, with one of those teams taking them to OT. They may have put together a decent rushing game this season, but again, playing the teams they have it would be hard not to. (Unless you are ND.) The Aggies have an opportunity to justify their ranking and make a statement on National TV, if they show up to play and take control early. Miami is still in shambles. After getting trounced by Oklahoma, they moved on to FIU and struggled the entire game. The Canes still have QB issues, which is why they are 106th in total yards and 115th in passing. If they cant get it together this game might get ugly.
    Texas A&M 28- Miami 17.

Is anyone really going to watch the ND game? Didnt think so, but Mich St and ND play hard every year. Last year the Spartans almost sealed ND’s BCS hopes when they came close to an upset. They, however, collapsed as a team and got their head coach fired. This year I dont see much of that happening. ND ranks 119 in nearly every catergory imaginable. They are also among two teams without an offensive TD, the other being Syracuse. (Great company to keep Charlie.) Last week they made Michigan finally look like the number 5 team in the country. ND could not sustain any drives, couldnt block, couldnt pass, couldnt run. Their D looked like they were still drained from the week before when they spent yet again 85% of the game on the field. With huge problems like these ND will continue to get rolled regardless of who they line up across.
    Sparty 31- ND 6, maybe.

SEC game of the week. A few years back I bet no one would have thought this game would even be televised. Spurrier, the winningest coach in SEC history has turned South Carolina into a contender in the SEC. But even with vast improvements to the program, I still think Spurrier’s coaching ability will be overcome by LSU’s playing ability. LSU can speak for itself, they dominated everyone they have faced so far. The Bayou Bengals are beginning to reming me of Matt Hughes in UFC, they dominate through sheer size and strength. Still, this game should be exciting and relatively close early on with LSU taking control in the 2nd half.
    LSU 42- USC 28

Penn State looks to be the only team from the Big Ten that isnt that overrated. That may be because they have played 3 cupcakes this year. The facts are this: Penn St doesnt run the spread offense, which Mich has trouble defending. Penn St has lost its last 8 games against LLoyd Carr. The three teams that PSU has beaten have a combined record of 1-8. Michigan is back to playing the slower Big Ten ball that its used to. Michigan without Chad Henne just might be a top 25 team. Mike Hart still hasnt lost a fumble, Ryan Mallet looks like he could be the real deal, while his in class rival Jimmy Clausen looks like the he could be the hype.
This game could get interesting. Lloyd Carr can still save this season by going to the Rose Bowl, and it all begins here. Michigan wont come in flat or unprepared for this game. Look to the leftside of the Wolverines O line to be the difference maker. If Carr can put the ball in Hart’s hands consistenly, and apply enough pressure to force Morelli to make bad decisions they can pull off an upset in Ann Arbor.
    Michigan 28- PSU 24.

Arkansas needs to bounce back from last week, or Houston Nutt is gonzo. Neither one of these teams has much on D either. Felix Jones and D Mac should be enough to control a ball game, that is unless you are playing a team with a QB that pick apart defenses like Andre Woodson. Look for this game to be a repeat of last week for both teams. No D, high powered offenses taking turns at eachother’s endzones. Arkansas’ D made Wilson look like Farve last week, if they want a shot at this game they need to shut down Woodson early on. I just dont see it happening.
    Kentucky 44- Arkansas 35.

Alabama getting vaulted to 16 in the top 25 after one win over a ranked team is bullshit, I could see taking Tenn’s place at 22, but 16 is a huge jump. This team was made to look great by Arkansas’ terrible D. Mark Richt, who has closed practice to the media this week, will be certain his team comes in prepared. Neither team has a decent QB, but Matt Stafford looks to have improved alot since last season, and looks to be a little better than Ross Parker Wilson. Georgia can keep it close with stout defense, but ultimately Bama wins out and validates being number 16.
    Bama 38- UGA 31.

USC is like a monster unleashed and Wazzu is the sacrificial virgin presented to keep them pleased. This game will be more onsided than the Heisman voting last year. USC wins huge, and makes Wazzu feel like Jodie Foster in The Accused.
    USC 55- Wazzu 10.

Wisconsin needs a strong win to keep their place in the top 10. A scare against UNLV and a closer than should have been game vs The Citadel leaves me wondering if someone else isnt better suited for number 9. The Badgers will need to make a statement this game and I cant see Iowa preventing it.
    Wisconsin 35- Iowa 13.

No shit, aTm got deuced on. Thats what I get for having faith in the cult of the Aggie.

I should have fucking known better, the fucking big 12 is so fucking weak. Fuckin Aggies.
