Predictions: VT @ LSU is Saturday Night

hokie birdThis Saturday is going to be awesome.  Simon is driving to New York to acquire Yuenglings, the #1 beer of college football.  Take that Bud Light.  There are a bevy of games on that have upset \ classic written all over them: Miami @ Oklahoma, Nebraska @ Wake Forest, NC St @ BC, USC @ Georgia, ND @ Penn St, TCU @ Texas, Oregon @ Michigan, South Florida @ Auburn and the (my personally long awaited) night cap VT @ LSU.

Before I get to the picks, all I can say is I am expecting VT to beat LSU.  I hope it is Richter scale registering loud, hot, grimy and hard hitting.  I really want the Hokies to be put to the test and respond by kicking the Tigers in the face.  There is no reason to lose this game. To win we need no bullshit and zero excuses.  I will be many beers deep by the conclusion of the game and for better or worse be going bullshit crazy.

Miami 24 @ Oklahoma 30

Nebraska 31 @ Wake Forest 24 (Had Riley Skinner been QBing I would have gone upset)

NC St 10 @ BC 28

USC 35 @ Georgia 31

ND 7 @ Penn St >=35

TCU 17 @ Texas 34

Oregon 24 @ Michigan 33

South Florida 28 @ Auburn 17

VT 17 @ LSU 10

I’ve been waiting 5 years for the second game in this home and home series. HEY CAJUN PUSSIES, GEAUX LICK MY ASSHOLE! You sure were tough shit when you came into Bburg last time starting shit and got you asses handed to you. I hope we beat that ass and prove that #2 ranking a fraud. Our offense is… well… offensive but guess what SO IS YOURS! The difference being our defense is better than yours.

Also, please do us a favor and kill our slow, dumb, white qb (Glennon) like you did our last one (Noel).

I’m not gonna sit here and flat out expect a win because I hear swamp kitty land is tough but don’t sit there and expect to beat us either. Bring it LSU, we’re bringing ours.

    HOKIE NATION 4 LIFE!

    p.s. Beamer > Miles

p.p.s. You all smell like fucking corn dogs.

I like the USC-Georgia prediction. Thats gutsy. I also agree 100% that Michigan will rebound and win, unlike Baz who thinks they’re done for the season… As much as I’d flip my shit if Tech beat LSU, I don’t see it happening because these types of games are won and lost at the line.. Our offensive line looks weaksauce.. and we don’t have a scrambling QB who can elude blitzes and make throws on the run or bolt for a 10 yard pickup. Let me rephrase that. We DO have that quarterback but he’s not starting. I say LSU 24 VT 13 and I want to puke for picking against my team in such a big game but as long as glennon is back there, I don’t have faith.

    P.S.
Notre Dame getting rocked makes me feel slightly better

Interesting picks, I agree that VT will upset the Bayou Bitches. As I have stated earlier this year LSU is overrated and their lack of offense will prevent them from going undefeated. This game will be a battle of defenses, and while LSU’s defense looked good last game on paper, their play wasnt that great. I saw a terrible RB from Miss St turning corners and stiff arming supposed all world LBs and DBs. If Henig hadnt thrown 6 picks, the score would have been more indicative to the level of play. LSU struggled on offense, they had tried reverses and sweeps to get that 5′5″ speedster outside and he couldnt turn a corner. Their offensive line has a hard time trying to control the line of scrimmage. Miss St’s D Line put tons of pressure on Flynn, imagine what the Hokies will do with their level of athletes and superior coaching schemes. VT will have trouble scoring on offense, but their D and special teams will be the difference by scoring a TD, or creating big plays and momentum sweeps. LSU will fail to score multiple TDs and have to settle for field goals.
    VT 20- LSU 16.

Also, Michigan beats Oregon. Their pride is hurt and they need a win to take the attention off of them. Look for a huge passing day by Henne, and big yards from Hart. The ducks let up 545 total yards to Houston last week. Michigan still has talent on offense, even with their defense suffering, look for them to showcase it properly this week. Michigan 42- Oregon 28.

PSU will kill ND, and Jimmy Clausens confidence will go into the shithole. Look for him to self destruct after his first two series. PSU wins big, id say PSU 44- ND 7.

For the life of me, I cant figure out how ARK ST kept it within a TD vs Texas, because Texas had good numbers. If Colt McCoy can keep from turning the ball over, they win soudly against TCU.Texas 34-TCU 17

Georgia plays tough agaisnt USC, but is overcome by their talent. USC 42- Georgia 24.

I think Texas was looking ahead to TCU…

I like most of your picks. But I hate to say this as a VT alumni and all, but LSU will beat us. Glennon can’t get it done. Our O-line can’t block. And Branden Ore is overrated. The only chance we have is we don’t turn over the ball over and our defense gives us a short field all night. I hope I am wrong.
